Portland has become home to a growing number of Burmese refugees as they seek asylum from over fifty years of human rights abuses in their homeland of Burma. Refugees that make it out of border camps and through the labyrinthine immigration process still face the many challenges of resettlement. Sponsoring a refugee family during this time of transition can help ensure their success. There are many ways you can help.
